During the 4th year of your studies of Applied Linguistics you will  develop translation competences that consist of domain specialization in the social, political and economic sphere by translating articles on current international issues, paying special attention to the quality of the target text - the Bulgarian language - its grammatical rules, spelling, punctuation.
The submission of the two assignments every week will increase your grade by 0.05
1. Every Friday you will find in Moodle an article to translate. The translation you have made shall be uploaded by Wednesday morning as Assignment A. The name of the file should contain your name and number of the week. There are 14 weeks in the semester so I shall expect 14 submitted translations.  On Wednesdays and Thursdays, for the different groups respectively, in class we will be discussing the translation of the article, and students can correct and improve on their translations. By Saturday, the corrected translations shall be uploaded again as Assignment B. The second assignment must be "Ready for publication" -
Какво трябва да проверите след приключване напревода:

1. Да проверите  за правописни грешки - СПЕЛЧЕК
2.Да проверите използваната терминология и нейната последователност
3. Цитатите и имената трябва да бъдат в съответствие със съществуващите официални преводи
4. Да проверите съответствието на стандартните фрази с националните style guides
5. Да проверите дали сте превели целия текст (всички параграфи, таблици, графики, бележи под линия, заглавия и т.н.)
6.Второ прочитане и ревизия – граматика, пунктуация, оставени двойни пространства между думите, изписване на цитати в оригиналния текст и т.н.
7. Да проверите точността и формата на цифрите спрямо оригинала- десетична запетаи, мерни единици, изписване на валутни символи
8. Да проверите оформлението - дали са запазени номерирането, шрифтовете, стиловете, таблиците и други вградени обекти?
